  Future City Competition serves students in 7th and 8th grade. Sponsored by National Engineers Week,

this national program introduces students to engineering with the popular Sim City software. Students design future cities with simulation software, build scale models, write essays and give oral presentations on their city's design.  See competition info for details.

  • 1-18-10    And the Winner is....St. Paul of the Cross - Celedon

    Congratulations to this year's champion, St. Paul of the Cross.  Rounding out the top 5 finishers were (2) St. Clair RXIII - New Tana; (3) Franklin Middle School - Emerald City; (4) St. Paul's Lutheran School - Windyannapolis; (5) Mount Carmel Academy - F.U.N.G.I.A.  Congratulations to all teams.  For a complete listing of winners, see the Past Winners section or check out the Press Release section for the full article.  Check back soon...pictures to come!!!

    See a preliminary list of special awards and their criteria that judges will base their selection on.  Make sure you incorporate the criteria into your model so you can take home a prize!  Make sure you check back to see new awards as they are posted.

The competition is just a few weeks away, taking place on Saturday January 16th at the University of Chicago Student Center East.  This is the same location as last year.  Mark your calendars and check the directions page to know where you are going.  Read the latest article which has more information at the Press Release section.  Check back as updates for special award criteria will be posted.
